The Mighty Boy

The Mighty Boy, our fibreglass boat built on the Central Coast

The Mighty Boy is the first boat in our line-up, and it's built for great days on the water without a big-boat price tag. It's stable, it performs, and with an un-braked trailer there's no pink slip to worry about.

It's a tiller-steer boat with a flat back transom for a 20 inch long shaft motor, from a 15hp two-stroke up to 60hp. Want a console or forward steering instead? We build those versions too.

Racing

Our race boats: the Excite V-21 and the Apex V-28

Excite V-21

Ski race boat · price to be announced

The Excite V-21 is our ski boat, and it's the blue 111 you'll see in our videos. It's a modified version of the legendary Superclass 21 foot hull that dominated ski racing in the early 2000s.

We build it in the same composite materials as the Mighty Boy.

Apex V-28

One-off build · orders open in 2028

The Apex V-28 is the first of its kind. It raced at Lake Mac 2026 in the Offshore Superboat Championships, and when the Donzi 22 Classic Restoration team blew an engine that weekend, we helped get them into the Apex within the hour. They finished second in their final race.

It's a one-off build for now, and we won't be taking orders for it until 2028.

“The first of its kind, built by Aaron Jackson and set to be paired with Porta brackets! Absolutely flawless workmanship and another hull with legendary Don Aronow DNA!”

Two new Jackson Craft boats in development

We've got two new models in the development stages, both based on hull shapes with serious pedigree. Photos and full details are coming soon, so register your interest and we'll let you know first.

Based on a C. Raymond Hunt hull

5.3m offshore fishing boat

5.3m / 17.5ft

A proper offshore fishing weapon. It's based on the pedigree of one of C. Raymond Hunt's own hulls, which we've modified and podded. Hunt is the designer who perfected the high-deadrise deep-V hull, the shape that lets a powerboat hold its speed safely in rough water.

Based on the Thunderbird Formula 233

Our take on the Formula 233

Deep-V offshore

A variation on the Thunderbird Formula 233, the 23 foot deep-V offshore racer designed in the 1960s by Don Aronow, Jim Wynne and Walt Walters. It's known for its 24 degree deadrise and a sharp entry that cuts through rough water instead of banging over it.

The build

How we build a composite boat with nothing to rot

The Mighty Boy is a complete composite build: resin, woven glass cloth and closed cell foam. That means there's nothing in there to rot or go soft on you down the track.

  1. Hull and laminate

    • Vinyl-ester resin throughout, with bi-axial and tri-axial woven cloths and chop strand tie layers
    • A complete composite build with Thermolite and H130 closed cell foam, so there's nothing to rot or break down
  2. Stringers and flotation

    • Your choice of a solid fibreglass box section stringer system or H130 stringer grids
    • Fully sealed and foam filled for positive flotation
  3. Hull to deck join

    • The hull and top deck are structurally bonded, glassed and riveted together
    • That makes a strong join, and there's no way for water to get into the transom core

Fitted as standard

  • Sealed solid fibreglass seat
  • 100L underfloor fibreglass fuel tank, stainless filler and breather
  • Big underfloor storage or kill tank with a lockable latch and bung
  • Heavy duty 1/2" bow eye
  • 3 x 6" pop-up cleats
  • Black or white rub rail
  • RULE auto bilge pump with a stainless skin fitting
  • Gelcoat outside and speckled flow coat inside, in your choice of colour
